Our Professional Staff

James H. Skidmore ("Jim") worked as a Revenue Agent for the IRS for 35 years with the last 27 years as an International Examiner.  He was also an Instructor for the Internal Revenue Service for 31 years and an instructor for the Becker CPA review course for 15 years.

After retiring from the IRS, he put his expertise and experience to work preparing tax returns, consulting with small business and providing a bookkeeping service.

Mr. Skidmore joined the firm in October 2006.

Larry W. Cotton joined the firm as an Enrolled Agent in May 2007.  The Enrolled Agent certification is granted by the Internal Revenue Service.  This certification allows Mr. Cotton to represent taxpayers before the Service in all tax matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Cotton worked as an Internal Revenue Agent in the Tulsa, OK office for 33 years.  During that time he conducted numerous audits of individual, corporate and partnership returns.  He also served as a Group Manager for 4 years where he supervised the activities of 12 to 14 agents engaged in a wide range of audit activities.  He served as an EEO Investigator for the US Treasury Department as a collateral duty from 1989 to 1992.  He currently volunteers with the Tulsa Police Department in the Financial Crimes Division.

Mr. Cotton focuses primarily on representing clients before the Internal Revenue Service in tax audits, criminal investigations and collection activities.

Mr. Arnold originally joined the firm in January 1980 and worked as a staff accountant through 1986.  He then rejoined the firm in July 2010 after an interlude of 24 years, having raised his family in Tulsa.

Mr. Arnold has broad business knowledge having worked in the industry areas of Grocery, Health Foods, Fertilizer, Energy, Natural Gas Storage, Power Plant Development and Print Media.  He has served in staff and management roles with experience in accounting, taxation, benefit plans, finance, treasury, churches, schools, derivatives, natural gas, oil and precious metals.  He is active in the Tulsa Community serving people with developmental disabilities, high-risk youth, and secondary education.
